INNOVATING FOR THE IMPACT ECOSYSTEM
FOWOSE
PULSE launched its new European FoWoSE project to encourage women’s social entrepreneurship at the end of 2021, in partnership with Women on Top (Greece), Empow’Her (France), Reach for Change (Bulgaria) and Synthesis (Cyprus).
The aim of the FoWoSE project is to increase gender mainstreaming in entrepreneurial ecosystem structures and programs.
To achieve this, the project plans to develop methodological content and the needs of women, and will enable organizations supporting entrepreneurs to set up tailor-made support programs.
The project will run until December 2023 and is organized into three different phases. Initially, the “creation phase” aims to create various tools. Firstly, a method enabling organizations to integrate gender issues at a structural level. Secondly, training tools to enhance the skills of structural staff and enable them to better train and support women social entrepreneurs. Finally, a manual of best practices for gender mainstreaming at structural and program levels, designed to help ecosystem structures be more inclusive of women social entrepreneurs.
The “test phase” scheduled for 2022/2023 will enable the training tools to be tested and adjusted before being rolled out more widely.
Finally, the “dissemination phase” will enable the training tools to be disseminated using an open-source approach, and to raise awareness among ecosystem structures.
