BOOST
OUR PROJECTS
TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL PLAYERS
BOOST
BOOST: Balkan for Optimising Opportunities, Sustainability and Transformation of Civil Society, funded by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering civil society to drive sustainable development in the Western Balkans. With a clear focus on enhancing youth engagement, entrepreneurship, environmental protection, and cultural preservation, the project is designed to elevate the region within the context of EU enlargement.
BOOST offers a multifaceted approach to fostering positive change across the Western Balkans. The project has a focus on enhancing the capabilities of civil society organizations (CSOs), engaging collaboration between CSOs and public institutions, and promoting a shared narrative of European values.
Through the programme civil society organizations will see improvements in their capacity to create initiatives across the three key pillars: youth and entrepreneurship, rural development and environment, and cultural heritage and community development. Moreover, collaboration between CSOs and public institutions will be strengthened, fostering a conducive environment for impactful change at local, national, and regional levels.
By empowering local actors and fostering cross-sectoral collaboration, BOOST sets the groundwork for a prosperous future in the Western Balkans.
BOOST is coordinated by ALDA in partnership with LEADER France, Pulse SOS, Pulse Balkans, LDA Mostar, LDA Kosovo, LDA Nikšić, LDA Zavidovići, LDA Prijedor, LDA Subotica, LDA Central and Southern Serbia and the Urban Research Institute Albania.
